LEARNER, STORYTELLER, OPPORTUNIST, ENTREPRENEUR, PHOTOGRAPHER, TRAVELER, CODER, & PEOPLE PERSON.

Hi, I'm Anya! If you've made it this far, I appreciate you for being here. Here's a little bit more about me when I'm not busy being a Computer Science and Business Honors student at Lehigh University or working in our Office of Admissions.

Originally from Seattle, WA, I love being outdoors skiing, hiking, backpacking, adventuring, you get the point.

I moved every two years until middle school and went to a different school every year ... hence my very handy knack for quick adaptability.

I love constant change and juggling multiple things at the same time - it adds fuel to my already burning fire for seeking opportunity and getting. things. done.

Giving back to communities and kids in meaningful, impactful ways brings me an ultimate joy.

Lifting keeps me sane and disciplined...I will never go to sleep without an hour spent at the gym, and this disciple carries over in all aspects of my life.

Through constantly finding ways to discover more about myself, I was led to pursuing a bachelors in Computer Science and Business at Lehigh University through their honors CSB program. I couldn't stop there, and decided to pursue minors in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

I want to tell you a story...

When I was 5 years old my family took a trip to Disney, where we would watch the opening show speaker begin his shows with "Welcome Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls."

When we got home from that trip, I marked off a "stage" in front of our fireplace and I would walk up and down saying the same thing and giving "speeches" to my family about Disney characters.

The "speaker" in me only continued to grow. From speaking about Disney characters to my family at five years old, to my sister's tenth birthday speech, to my middle school debate competition speeches, to giving my High School Open House speeches, to speaking on podcasts and panels about being a woman in Computer Science, to now speaking at tours around my college campus - it all started with a five year old girl hearing the phrase "Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls," and wanting to speak to people.

When it came down to deciding what to study in college, my answer was easy. I knew I wanted a balance of Computer Science to challenge me, and business/marketing to fuel the "people-person" side to me.

I seek opportunities to combine the two in every endeavor I pursue, and it's an endless journey that allows me to constantly discover new highs and lows, and get excited to learn along the way. But hey, that's life and I am determined to live it to the fullest.

Thanks for being on this journey with me.

- Anya
